Description
Pristine PR66 1882 Seated Quarter
1882 25C PR66 NGC. This proof Seated quarter hails from the era of low-mintage business strikes, which exert added pressure on the proof issues. In 1882 the 1,100 proof quarters saw a complement of only 15,200 circulation coins. This Premium Gem proof shows moderate toning on both sides, a bit more intense on the obverse, where accents of blue and pinkish-gold appear under a light. The reverse centers are silver-white, with golden highlights. Neither side reveals any mentionable contact. Census: 39 in 66, 13 finer (10/09).(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23XE, PCGS# 5583, Greysheet# 5357)
