1883 Quarter, Colorful PR66
1883 25C PR66 PCGS. CAC. Colorful patina in shades of mint-green and rose-gold complements good preservation and the expected-but-not-always-delivered bold strike on this Premium Gem proof quarter. What may be the remains of an old thumbprint appear in the left obverse field and Liberty's midsection, but the effect is not overly blatant given the mask of toning. Only 14,400 circulation strike quarters were produced of this date, along with 1,039 proofs. Population: 26 in 66 (3 in 66+), 11 finer.
