Description

Low-Mintage 1887 Quarter, PR67
Richly Toned

1887 25C PR67 NGC. Rich golden-brown, sea-green, and ocean-blue toning illuminates the obverse. The reverse displays deep plum and cobalt-blue patina. Well struck save for the uppermost stars. Due to continued massive silver dollar production, mintages of quarters lagged. Just 10,000 business strikes and 710 proofs were issued. Census: 11 in 67, 1 finer (3/11).
