1889 25C PR68 ★ NGC. The star designation for exceptional quality is undoubtedly a result of the spectacular eye appeal created through the lovely toned surfaces. Both sides have excellent cameo contrast and deeply mirrored fields that shine through the blue-green, amber, and iridescent toning.
Easily one of the finest specimens from the issue, one of just four pieces in the combined certified population at the PR68 level with none finer (8/08). This amazing, superlative proof will prove to be a highlight of the new owner's cabinet.
