    Final Year of Seated Liberty Coinage

    1891 25C PR67 NGC. Briggs 1-A. This Superb Gem proof displays inarguably original blue and violet patina across the obverse. Peach-gold toning at the central reverse progresses outwardly to shades of rose-violet, blue, and green. The eye-appealing toning blankets flashy, unmarked surfaces. This was the final year of Seated Liberty coinage. A total of 600 proof quarters were struck. Census: 14 in 67, 4 finer in non-Cameo (10/18).(Registry values: P1)
