    Description

    1891 Quarter, PR67
    One Proof Finer at PCGS

1891 25C PR67 PCGS. The obverse of this magnificent Superb Gem Seated Liberty quarter is deeply toned in shades of blue and green, while the reverse displays a much lighter lavender and gold patina. The fields are brightly reflective under the toning. The strike is sharper than usual for the issue, which often lacks detail because the dies were excessively polished or too widely spaced. Only 600 proofs were minted, and PR67 survivors are very rare. Population: 4 in 67, 1 finer (8/16).
