Description
1870 Quarter PR 64 NGC. Another beautiful coin from this seldom-seen proof set of 1870. This piece is similarly toned to the other pieces in the set with bands of russet and cobalt-blue surrounding brilliant centers. The fields are just as deeply reflective also with strong cameo contrast set up by the frosted devices, but the surfaces are not as well preserved overall as the other pieces, thus the grade.
