    Description

An Uncertified 1951 Proof Set in the original box and cellophane wrappers of mint issue. The coins individually grade between PR64 and PR66. The Cent has gorgeous orange color, and is seemingly free from carbon. The Nickel is exquisitely struck and lightly toned. The Dime has original freckles of russet-brown peripheral patina. The Quarter has a brilliant reverse and light tobacco-brown color on the obverse. The Half Dollar is not fully struck on the bell lines, but is nonetheless beautifully preserved.

With the superb catalog, a masterwork prepared by Mark Borckhardt, the sale was destined to meet all of my expectations; that it did, and then some. Be assured that I would highly recommend Heritage Auctions to any of my associates contemplating the sale
