    Description

1895 Proof Set With a Gem Dollar

Certified 1895 Proof Set. While the lower denomination pieces are PR64 or less, the "money coin" is a solid Gem. Included are:

Cent 1C PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. Olive and muted reddish-brown on the obverse with a mostly cherry-red reverse.

Nickel PR64 NGC. Lightly toned and well mirrored.

Dime PR64 NGC. The original brilliance shows a dusting of rose and cobalt-blue toning around the outer portions of each side.

Quarter PR65 NGC. The brilliant center shows a bit of russet-brown and deep blue around the peripheries, and there are a couple of diagonal grease stains that were struck into Liberty's cheek at the time of manufacture.

Half PR63 NGC. Almost completely brilliant with good reflectivity in the fields.

Dollar PR65 NGC. A solid Gem of this key issue, the devices are nicely frosted and present good contrast against the deeply mirrored fields. There is just a trace of light golden patina over the denticles on each side.
