    1894 Six-Piece Proof Set

1894 Proof Set. A personal favorite among these early sets, perhaps because it is anchored by such an outstanding Morgan dollar. The set includes:
Indian Cent PR 64 Red and Brown PCGS. Bright orange color is tempered in most areas by deep crimson and rose patina.
Liberty Nickel PR 64 PCGS. Blushes of milky patina over highly reflective surfaces.
Barber Dime PR 65 PCGS. Noticeably cameoed and a strict gem, with mottled gray-violet patina covering the reverse.
Barber Quarter PR 64 PCGS. Similar in its two-toned appearance, with olive-gold patina on the left side of the reverse. A vertical frost break on the neck is the only deterrent to a gem rating.
Barber Half-Dollar PR 65 PCGS. The obverse is drenched in mottled greenish-gold, pale violet, and steel-blue patina while golden-violet hues are intermingled with flashes of peripheral blue on the reverse.
Morgan Dollar PR 66 PCGS. An impeccably preserved cameo that on each side is draped in milky golden-gray patina. As a date, the 1894 proof Morgan is among the most sought-after of the type due to the scarcity of high grade business strikes from this reduced mintage year.
