    Description

1901 Proof Set. The year 1901 was most notable for the assassination of President McKinley at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo and the ascendency of Theodore Roosevelt, which, of course, led to an artistic revolution in U.S. coinage six years later. This set is somewhat less well preserved than the last, but with some attractive coins, nonetheless. The set includes:
Indian Cent PR 64 Red PCGS. Antique red-gold hues with glowing surfaces.
Liberty Nickel PR 64 PCGS. Russet and violet-gray toning.
Barber Dime PR 64 PCGS. Mostly brilliant with an appealing cameo.
Barber Quarter PR 63 PCGS. A light golden cast over the attractive cameo does not completely hide the hairlines that account for the grade.
Barber Half Dollar PR 61 PCGS. Gray and russet surfaces reveal myriad hairlines.
Morgan Dollar PR 61 PCGS. Sought after because of the scarcity of the business strike, this fully brilliant piece displays hairlines commensurate with the grade.
