Pristine 1893 PR 68 Barber Quarter
1893 25C Quarter PR 68 NGC. Much like the similarly dated dime, the obverse of this specimen exhibits appreciable contrast between the fields and devices. There are intermittent splashes of soft golden toning that allow the contrast to show through, while a much deeper gunmetal-gray and mauve toning limit the cameo effect on the reverse. From a technical perspective, one of the nicer 1893 proof quarters we've seen. Population: 12 in 68, 2 finer (7/00).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2428, PCGS# 2, GSID# 5465)
