Description
1866 5C Rays PR64+ NGC. CAC. This Rays nickel is going to please some lucky collector. Essentially a one-year type, the 1866 shows highly variable striking quality among business strikes. Proofs are more consistent. This is a nicely reflective example that only shows slight striking softness on the rays. Light, pastel toning is seen over each side, and there are a few small specks of carbon present. From The Fred Yee Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
