1866 5C Rays PR65 PCGS. CAC. A gorgeous Gem proof
representing the first Shield nickel issue, this piece has bold
design motifs with a deeply mirrored frame around the lustrous
devices. Both sides exhibit iridescent toning. PCGS has only
certified 39 finer examples of this issue (12/11).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 276G, PCGS# 3817, GSID# 2889)
