1866 Rays Shield Nickel, PR66 Cameo

1866 5C Rays PR66 Cameo PCGS. A popular first-year type coin, the 1866 Rays Shield nickel is many times more common than the 1867 Rays. The obverse has a tiny center dot in the shield, and the reverse is Reverse Style A, with prominent center dot and 5 repunched at the upper left. This silver-gray specimen has just a glint of golden toning, with minimal evidence of contact. Population: 27 in 66 Cameo, 3 finer (8/08).(Registry values: N4719)
