Description

1866 Rays PR 64 PCGS. First year of issue, both rare and desirable because of the brevity of the Rays type as well as a low official mintage. This is a fully struck example of a design known to have striking problems, with nicely mirrored fields glowing under the lightest hint of silvery toning. Both centering dots fully struck. Problem-free surfaces except for one tiny mark on the reverse.
