1867 5C No Rays PR66 Cameo PCGS. Mint records report 600
proof 1867 No Rays Shield nickels having been sold as part of
silver proof sets, though a small number of additional pieces were
likely also distributed through minor proof sets. This issue is
scarce in Cameo grades, and is rarely seen at the Premium Gem level
with that designation. The devices are well-contrasted, with deep
mirroring in the fields and warm amber-gold toning over each side.
A razor-sharp strike completes the appeal. Population: 16 in 66, 0
