Original Pastel Toning, CAC Approval
1867 5C No Rays PR66 PCGS. CAC. Pastel shades of violet,
blue, green, and gold adorn marvelously preserved surfaces. The
original toning and excellent technical quality undoubtedly
contribute to CAC's approval. A full impression with squared-off
rims confirms the proof origin, though contrast is somewhat
lacking. Eye appeal, of course, is not. Population: 13 in 66 (1 in
66+), 24 finer including Cameo and Deep Cameo. CAC: 3 in 66, 13
