Among the Finest Certified
1867 5C No Rays PR66 PCGS. In 1867, Mint officials altered
the reverse design to alleviate striking issues caused by the rays.
Bowers (2006) estimates that 750 to 1,100 No Rays specimens were
struck for this first-year type. The surfaces remain untoned and
the devices show expectedly crisp definition. This Premium Gem is
