1869 5C Nickel PR64 PCGS. A spectacular near-Gem example of this low-mintage, proof Shield nickel, the present coin exhibits incredibly bright, reflective fields. The design elements are fully brought up, and there are undeniable elements of field-device contrast, especially on the obverse. A small mark in the reverse field, above the 5, is the only flaw of note.From The T.W. Brown Collection.(Registry values: N991)
