1872 Nickel, PR66+ Cameo
Doubled Die Obverse
1872 5C PR66+ Cameo PCGS. The obverse is die doubled north,
most apparent on the annulet of the shield. The variety is similar
to FS-101, but is a different die marriage with a slightly greater
spread. Brilliant and flashy with no post-strike detractions. A
lint mark at the T in CENTS provides an identifier. Population: 26
in 66 (3 in 66+) Cameo, 4 finer (4/15).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 276N, PCGS# 83826, GSID# 2911)
