Description
PCGS 1872 PR 65. An uncommonly brilliant proof example of a Shield nickel. In fact, the surfaces resemble the brightness normally seen on a prooflike 1881-S Morgan dollar. The devices exhibit moderate frosting yielding a very unusual cameo effect. Completely untoned, this coin shows no unsightly hairlines or carbon spots so often seen. A premium quality specimen.
