1874 Shield Nickel, Sharp PR63
1874 5C PR63 NGC. CAC. The obverse of this Shield nickel proof on its own would undoubtedly merit a higher grade, boasting a strong strike and top-notch eye appeal. But the reverse shows an apparent planchet flaw through the central 5 digit and some roughness nearby, undoubtedly all as produced at the Mint.
