Exceptional 1876 Nickel, PR66 Ultra Cameo
1876 5C PR66 Ultra Cameo NGC. Proof Shield nickels from 1876 exist in fair quantities. As David Bowers (2006) indicates, however, some searching is required to locate one with deep mirrors and nice eye appeal. We present such a coin in the present lot. Its mirrored fields highlight the crisply struck, frosty motifs and its untoned surfaces are virtually unimprovable. A highly appealing coin in all respects.
