Iridescently Toned Superb Proof 1876 Nickel
1876 5C PR67 NGC. The vast majority of extant proof 1876 Shield nickels fall into the PR60-PR64 grade range. At the present level, NGC and PCGS combined have seen just seven specimens, and only a PCGS PR67 Deep Cameo piece and an NGC PR68 Cameo example have been certified finer. This is a gorgeous Superb Gem whose placid surfaces are awash in multicolored pastel iridescence. Needle sharp with pleasingly bright fields evident at certain angles.(#3830)(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 276T, PCGS# 3830, GSID# 2922)
