Choice Proof-Only 1877 Nickel
1877 5C PR64 NGC. A satiny near-Gem with dusky caramel-gold, sky-blue, and pearl-gray toning. Crisply struck, and attractive despite a trivial obverse spot at 4 o'clock. This proof-only Shield nickel is from a tiny reported mintage of 510+ pieces. Much scarcer than its 1878 proof-only successor.
