1877 Shield Nickel, PR64
Sharp and Reflective

1877 5C PR64 PCGS. A fully struck Choice example of this proof-only issue, showing strong reflectivity in the fields. There are no distracting marks, although scattered pepper specks on each side appear to be what prevents a finer grade from PCGS. The 1877 Shield nickel was only struck as a proof, with a mintage of 900 pieces.(Registry values: N1793)
