1877 Shield Nickel, Sharp PR65 Cameo
1877 5C PR65 Cameo PCGS. CAC. A pleasing Gem example of this proof-only issue, with good contrast between the mirrored fields and the opaque devices. The fields are largely brilliant, although a light overlay of smoke-gray flecks can be seen under a loupe. A single small mark is noted on the fourth shield stripe from the left, for accuracy only. Population: 44 in 65 Cameo, 55 finer (3/16).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 6/2006), lot 606.(Registry values: N2998)
