1877 Shield Nickel, PR65
Appreciably Reflective
1877 5C PR65 PCGS. CAC. The 1877 Shield nickel was struck
only in proof formart, with a mintage of 900 pieces. Cameos are
scarce, but this Gem non-Cameo is a collectible and eye-appealing
alternative. The design elements are fully struck, and the
champagne-tinted fields exhibit deeper mirroring than usual for
this often satiny issue. The obverse has slight cameo contrast.
