Description

1877 Shield Nickel, Reflective PR66 Cameo

1877 5C PR66 Cameo PCGS. The proof-only mintage of the 1877 Shield nickel was a meager 900 coins, and few survive today as well-preserved as this Premium Gem Cameo PCGS example. A tiny dark spot appears above the I of UNITED. Population: 34 in 66 (1 in 66+) Cameo, 6 finer (12/13).(Registry values: N2998)
