Spectacular PR 66 1877 Shield Nickel
1877 PR 66 PCGS. Over the years we have handled a number of gem and superb 1877 nickels, but we cannot remember another specimen that combines the depth of mirrored reflectivity and enchanting tonal qualities seen on this piece. Each side has a light layering of lavender, ice-blue, and citrine with these pale hues backlit by the bottomless proof fields. Even a bit of light mint frost can be seen, giving the piece a slight mirrored contrast.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 276U, PCGS# 3831, GSID# 2925)
