1878 5C PR66 PCGS. Few survivors are finer than this Premium Gem Shield nickel, a proof-only issue certified in a green-label holder. Pastel ice-blue, olive, and gold compete for territory on this remarkably attractive piece. An extra bit of metal appears in the last 8, which Breen calls an overdate.
