Description
1878 Nickel, Appealing PR67
1878 5C PR67 PCGS. CAC. The 1878 proof-only Shield five cent piece can be found through Premium Gem with a bit of searching. The population declines significantly in PR67 where PCGS and NGC have graded only 37 specimens and none finer. The obverse of this Superb Gem displays modest field-motif contrast and both sides are sharply impressed. This is a wonderfully preserved coin with great eye appeal.
