Important 1879 Shield Nickel, PR67 Cameo
1879 5C PR67 Cameo NGC. This is the overdate variety, although not attributed as such by NGC as they do not recognize the variety. The easiest way to identify these overdates is not by looking at the date, but rather by the tiny spike that projects from the top right of the ball directly above the date. An impressive Superb Gem, this lovely piece has brilliant nickel-gray surfaces with intense contrast between the mirrored fields and lustrous devices.
