1879/8 5C PR67 Cameo PCGS. A phenomenal, untoned specimen, with fields that show unfathomable depth of mirrored reflectivity and heavily frosted devices that result in a strong cameo effect. The 1879/8 Shield Nickel is one of two such overdate proof issues struck during the latter part of the 19th century, the other being the 1887/6 Three Cent Nickel.(#83834) (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22PG, PCGS# 83834, GSID# 2945)
