1881 Shield Nickel, Bold PR65
'Green on Green' PCGS Holder
1881 5C PR65 PCGS. CAC. This lightly patinated Gem proof
1881 Shield nickel boasts strong eye appeal with a bold strike and
relatively few contact marks for the grade. Its allure for many
collectors will be further enhanced by its PCGS green-label holder
and CAC green approval sticker. The collecting style of "green on
green" PCGS-certified coins is one that seems to have taken firm
hold among a subset of the collecting community.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 276X, PCGS# 3836, GSID# 2937)
