Description
Glimmering Superb Cameo Proof 1881 Nickel
1881 5C PR67 Cameo NGC. Brilliant, mirrored surfaces glisten beneath the frosted silvery devices, contrasting to the extent that this coin has earned its Cameo designation; indeed, the obverse likely qualifies as Deep Cameo. The only visible toning is a light splash of tan on the shield lines. Sharply struck, as expected, with no noticeable surface contact. Census: 26 in 67 Cameo, 1 finer (12/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 276X, PCGS# 83836, GSID# 2938)
