1883 5C PR67 Cameo NGC. CAC. All 1883 proof Shield nickels were struck with non-overdated dies (unlike the 1883 Shield nickel circulation strikes, which have multiple 3 /2 varieties and other overdates). This deeply mirrored and sharply struck Superb Gem proof radiates lilac and rose toning from smooth, unmarked glassy fields. Frosted devices stand out against the lovely patina. Immaculate surfaces show only a few tiny, faint-gray flecks. Census: 15 in 67 Cameo (1 in 67+), 0 finer.
