Description

1866 Rays nickel PR 63 PVC, very few proofs of this first year nickel issue were minted, but official mint records appear to have drastically underreported the actual number produced, this piece is subtly reflective and shows even gray patina over both sides; and a 1911 half dollar PR 62 Questionable Toning, mottled gray-violet hues on the obverse and more uniform, but hazy golden patina on the reverse.
