Desirable 1865 Three Cent Nickel, PR66 Cameo
1865 3CN PR66 Cameo PCGS. The number of circulation strike three cent nickels minted in 1865 was the highest for any year of the series, but the mintage of 400-500 proofs was the lowest. Bronze toning with a hint of rose highlights the lustrous surfaces of this scarce first-year proof example. NGC and PCGS combined have certified less than 40 Premium Gem coins.
