1867 Three Cent Nickel, PR67+ Ultra Cameo
The Finest Certified and CAC Endorsed
1867 3CN PR67+ Ultra Cameo NGC. CAC. When one looks over the
mintages for proof three cent nickels it is immediately apparent
that earlier years had significantly fewer proofs produced than
later years. For the astute collector this presents a collecting
opportunity. It also gives direction, with the purchase of the
earlier dates a better-informed move. This is an exceptional 1867.
The fields display deeply reflective mirrors while the devices show
thick mint frost that results in the Ultra Cameo appearance of the
coin. Just the slightest hint of pale rose toning is seen over each
