Cameo PR66 1871 Three Cent Nickel
1871 3CN PR66 Cameo NGC. The three cent nickel is somewhat plentiful as a proof type, but most such pieces are dated 1879 or later. Proofs from the type's first decade are scarce, and early cameo proofs are rare. This untoned Premium Gem is immaculate and attractive with noticeable frost on the portrait and wreath.
