1872 Three Cent Nickel, PR67
Single Finest Non-Cameo

1872 3CN PR67 NGC. The 1872 proof three cent nickel was produced in quantity (at least 950 pieces), and while the date is not considered rare, survivors achieving the Superb Gem grade level are. This piece is fully brilliant, with deeply mirrored fields and near-cameo contrast with the sharp devices. This is the only non-Cameo Superb Gem certified, and none are numerically finer (5/14).(Registry values: N2998)
