Rare Numerically Finer

1876 3CN PR66 Ultra Cameo NGC. Examples of this Centennial-year proof are fairly obtainable in higher grades, but pieces qualifying for the Ultra Cameo designation are exactly the opposite. This impressive Premium Gem exhibits intensely frosty mint luster on the devices over deeply mirrored fields. Both sides are essentially brilliant, with just a hint of champagne toning. Census: 8 in 66 Ultra Cameo, 3 finer (5/14).(Registry values: P2)
