1877 Three Cent Nickel, PR64 Cameo
Low Proof-Only Mintage
1877 3CN PR64 Cameo NGC. Only 510 three cent nickels were
produced in 1877, all proofs, which, of course, makes this the most
popular and sought-after issue in the entire series. This specimen
is lightly toned in shades of green and lavender, with excellent
cameo contrast. A couple of trivial, inoffensive short pinscratches
on Liberty's cheek are only visible when the coin is tilted beneath
