Elusive Proof-Only Issue

1877 3CN PR66 PCGS. CAC. The 1877 three cent nickel is the first and rarest date of the three proof-only issues in the series. The mintage was a meager 510 pieces, and Premium Gem examples are quite elusive. This well-detailed specimen exhibits unblemished reflective fields, with a few hints of light gold toning.
