Description
Notable PR66 1877 Three Cent Nickel
1877 3CN PR66 PCGS. The lowest-mintage of three proof-only three cent nickel issues, the 1877 has an estimated production slightly north of 510 pieces. As a result, high-end specimens such as this Premium Gem are elusive prizes. Attractive green-gold toning drapes most of each side, with the color bolder on the obverse. PCGS has certified just three finer examples (10/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 275X, PCGS# 3773, GSID# 2826)
