1877 3CN Three Cent Nickel PR66 Ultra Cameo NGC. A meager 900 proofs constituted the entire production of three cent nickels in 1877, making this year far and away the key to the series, a popular coin even when found in circulated (impaired proof) condition. Optimal field-device contrast prevails on both sides, with the silver-white surfaces showing little trace of color otherwise. This incredible Premium Gem is the only Ultra Cameo of the issue in any grade at NGC (11/12).From The Dr. James Olsen Collection.(Registry values: P3)
