1878 3CN PR65 Cameo NGC. The 1877 and 1878 proof-only issues are the keys to the popular three cent nickel series, and Gem survivors experience heavy demand from both series specialists and type collectors. This coin shows bold contrast and a hint of golden patina over the well-preserved surfaces. A long, interesting, straight die line runs from the rear of Liberty's hair, just above the bun, onto her cheek.
