Impressive 1881 Three Cent Nickel, PR65 Deep Cameo
1881 3CN PR65 Deep Cameo PCGS. PCGS and NGC have certified several hundred 1881 proof three cent nickels, out of a mintage of 3,575 pieces. A mere seven coins have been assigned the Deep Cameo classification, including the Gem offering in the present lot. A white-on-black appearance greets the viewer of this piece, which is further enhanced by the sharply impressed design elements. Well preserved throughout.
